Friendlies

We've got some money earning friendlies again this season, obviously top of the bill are Liverpool, Everton and Stoke whatever teams they send am sure will be lock outs.

Will there be any more friendlies in between though as realistically were not going to win any of them unless we Spring a major surprise. Just don't want the lads to be going into the season low on confidence from them.

Very good friendlies. Sure to raise some much needed funds for the club. Let's hope for a much better season ahead to bring back the buzz around Belle Vue.

These are great, but we need games were we are going to get a kick of the ball not just run round chasing it. Games against alliance teams are a must

Exactly what I was thinking, obviously great revenue will come from these games but might be worth getting some teams we will beat also for confidence, even if it means playing a lot more games. There is no better practise than match practise

Re: Friendlies

The matches are as follows:-

FC United of Manchester, Saturday 9th July 3pm
Llangefni, Tuesday 12th July [sign in to see URL] pm (away)
Wrexham, Saturday 16th July 3pm
Warrington Town, Saturday 23rd July 3pm
Liverpool, Sunday 24th July 2pm
Morecambe, Saturday 30th July 3pm
Colwyn Bay, Tuesday 2nd August [sign in to see URL]
Stoke City, Saturday 6th August 3pm

I would expect the matches away to Llangefni and at home to Warrington and Colwyn Bay to be three matches which will give everyone an understanding of where the squad to be assembled is.

The bigger matches will hopefully bring some much needed revenue in which will help the club over the course of the season, so here's hoping for some bumper crowds over the summer of football.

Re: Friendlies

Great friendlies. I would agree it's a good balance of the two. Remember last season how we where very poor in pre-season because of the harder opposition. And how this seemed to effect us during the season performance wise. It's a difficult double-edged sword of balancing the two. Money Spinning Friendlies (Where we might not get a touch of the ball) and games we can compete in to help gel a new look squad. Hopefully all the hard work everybody puts in behind the scenes will be rewarded with a good financial footing for the tough season ahead.
