Caernarfon v Rhyl

Rhyl 2/1 up at half time.

First goal Collins header from a long throw.

Second a lovely lob over whitty by Rio on his debut.

Cofis pulled one back when a thunderbolt shot hit an arm from close range and lee Evans awarded a penalty.

Rio got the third, great team goal

KP scored s 22 yard belter.

Tom Hartley wrapped it up in the last minute.

Cracking nights action at the oval and a well deserved big victory Despite making 6 changes from the weekend.

Chris durkan, Mike Sharples and Young Iwan Murray all making their debuts in the second half.

I must admit I've enjoyed the past 7 days as much as anything in the past few years.

Airbus up next.

Couple of points
1) That dodgy penalty was the first (and only) goal we have conceded in almost 4 hours play since losing at TNS
2) Since losing at TNS, we have won the 3 games in 7 days by 9 goals to 2. Goes a long way to erasing the memory of 10-0

Not sure how you get 4 hours Ffred as we conceded against Aber. It may be more like 3 hours.

Into my "dodgy maths" again !

We conceded after about 7 minutes against Aber. So rest of Aber game and Cardiff Met game was 3 hours with extra time.

Conceded next just before half time against Cofis ? So nearer four hours than three in total !!

Great defensive reciver anyway after the potential demoralisation of conceding 10

Shame I couldn't make it, sound like a class performance from all concerned.

Rewarded with a trip to Llandudno in the next round... Tuesday 4th October

And here's what the Cofis thought of the game with this tribute "A disappointing defeat for the Canaries but credit should go to Rhyl for their performance, which was full of energy and tenacity."

Remember Corey Williams seemingly jumping ship ? Maybe learned a lesson last night
