Rhyl v Airbus

They will be desperate. Having lost 4 games out of five, bottom but one in the league and having been dumped out of the League Cup by Guilsfield. Up for the veritable "sack in the morning"

They will give it everything this weekend. Yet we also need to get the points on the board while we're on a good run and the kids have confidence. Being realistic we've played all league games but one at home so far, and have played 3 of the clubs who will be bottom six (Druids, Cdiff Met, Aber - Carmarthen still to come). So both teams, tho in different spirits need the points.

After tonight's great show in Caernarfon, who will be in the starting 11, especially which front three ? Do we go with Toby and Rob either side of Lamb ? Rio and Ryan Jones on the bench ?

Re: Rhyl v Airbus

So when do we start believing ? No names, but a couple of us on this board have already changed our minds twice as to whether the "boys" can be successful in a man's league.

Against Aber, we struggled at first and fought for the win. We then scraped a win against cardiff Met. But this week ? Smashing the Cofis away 5-1 and the total confidence and enthusasm against Airbus today ? Four on the trot.

Malcolm Allen said in commentary "This team is not afraid of losing". When do we fans stop being afraid of losing and start thinking big ? I reckon Niall and the team and club officers are doing a lot better than most of us fans. Level of attendance and support doesnt reflect well on most of us. I wasnt in Rhyl today, but I'll make sure I get to Newtown before HT next week. We need to start being as enthusiastic as the team. Exciting play, loads of local and yopung players - they deserve support.

Til now maybe we've thought about trying to get enough points on the board to have a fighting chance of avoiding relegation at the end of the season. So do we dare now start thinking - at the cut we'll be above Met, Druids, Airbus and Aber, just pass Carmarthen and one other and we'll be top six. Just two games off the big money and this could be a brilliant Welsh Cup team as a second route.

It would be the first time a team has succeeded with these resources. Isnt there a first time for everything ? Isnt our time now ? Succeed away at Newtown and we just cant help believeing - cue Elvis, see you in Newtown !

Very good performance and a comfortable 3 points. Despite having the less of the ball we showed what you have to do when you have [sign in to see URL] IT IN THE NET!! And after 3 blanks we have now scored 12 in 4 games which is some record.

We play with enthusiasm and tenaciousness which is what is required to win matches. There is also a terrific team spirit.

Made up to see Alex score 2 as he has deserved those goals. I also thought Toby was superb yesterday. Also great efforts from the back 5 and every player contributed to the win.

Lets hope this run can go on!! I for one am enjoying following Rhyl FC right now.

If we can get a result away at Newtown, then fans can from now on go into matches as fearlessly as the players do ! Hope that fans' bus gets filled
