Agree with you to a certain point regarding Rory, certainly has the potential to be the best in this league and possibly play at a higher level? Started the season really well then picked up an injury playing for his University came back, ousted Stanowski who had stood in brilliantly for him then his form dipped let in some howlers and his kicking game although never strong disintegrated out of sight in my opinion.

Yeah I agree with that, I can see a busy summer for us.

I will say the thought of getting a manager in, who likes to get his teams playing out from the back and playing attractive football is one that excites me for the new season.

RhylInTheKnow, I didn't say that we should get players on high wages in, just because they are from outside the area doesn't mean they don't know/won't learn the stature of our club and it also doesn't mean that they all command hefty wages. It's more important to find players who have the right temperament to succeed at our club regardless of location. In regards to Prestatyn, I'm pretty sure they went big on players like Andy Parkinson and Jason Price who won them the Welsh cup and their European tour (however short it lasted). These moves almost cost them their club too let's not forget. It probably sounds a bit like I'm against local players playing for us but I'd be more than happy to see them being given the chance if they are good enough.

Re: btw

There is gossip of a managerial change. I think we went in wrong direction. Conno started well, but strangely lost nearly all the North Wales lads. Its quite a long list.

Scott Williams
Sarnowski
Whitehouse
Hartley
James Jones
Gerwyn Jones
Alex Jones
Matty Morris
James Bell
Cory Williams
Buckley
Titchiner
Diego
Hoult
Webb

Not saying they were all world beaters, however Titchiner was our leading scorer, G Jones was probably our best defender, and season before A Jones was outstanding.

Something clearly not right in the changing room.

For me we need to look at the success of Caernarfon and Llandudno, Denbigh, Porthmadog who have a nucleus of local lads. Not only can this be cheaper, it also bring people through the turnstiles.

Conno took over a club heading in a downward spiral that McGuinness left he steadied the ship signed players like Barrow, Webb that decided to just do one and added one or two others

I dont disagree too much. But the common denominator is they were all North Wales based, but about three or four were better than whats there now.

Well, of Conanjon's list certainly Titch, Webb, Gerwyn, Hartley, Sarnowski and Alex would at the very least be great members of any squad we are likely to field. I accept though that there are the other criteria which I mentioned in the other thread - commitment, team-players, manager's formation etc.
