It was a nil nil draw. Hate to sound negative its going to be a long season again. Bring back Greg Strong.

Re: runcorn linnets
Rory being as solid as ever, Azza’s 10 minutes and corner threat were the positives I took from that game.
Azza will be our best player this season as he can make things happen. As we saw, he drove towards their defence once yesterday and beat a few players and then got hacked down which is a yellow card any day in a normal game and a dangerous free kick. We hardly threatened from open play as they pressed us really well; we could hardly get out of our half in the first 45.
Only 4 games into preseason so the jury is still out on who should start but out of who we got Rory, Hartley, Carroll, Stead, Azza, KP (if all fit) are 6 who should be on the sheet.

Re: runcorn linnets
Unless there has been a dramatic change from his form last season, surely Murphy is the first outfield name on the team sheet ?

Re: runcorn linnets
Based on what I’ve seen pre season I’d go with
Rory
Culshaw Peate Fairhurst Hartley
Partridge Cook
Stead
Murphy Pritchard KP
Sullivan
McIntyre
Aaron P
Aaron H
Carrol
Still need a striker, hopefully one turns up

Re: runcorn linnets
Stewie Carroll and Cook would be my midfield pairing.
Murphy and Pritch also would start for sure.
Right back could be an issue, still would like JJ in there tbh.

Re: runcorn linnets
Don't think JJ is still with us, not been seen since Alty game I don't think? Holland appears to have 'gone missing' as well having supposedly signed?
