Rhyl v Denbigh Town
Big game tonight for obvious reasons and 1 that we really need to be winning if we have title ambitions.
The lads have something to prove after last week. Obviously we will be without Macca, Stewie and the departed Tom Hartley.
Not sure if Nasher is fit but would be good to see him and Worrall back in the squad if ok to play.
Hopefully we can get off to a good start and win the match and it would be good to see a good crowd to start the weekend with a bang.

Re: Rhyl v Denbigh Town
now that Tom has left not much cover for the left wing back position ,i thought wing backs got forward overlapping and getting to the bye line behind the defence but ours cross the ball from midway

Re: Rhyl v Denbigh Town
Against Port and Caernarfon they did do that. It’s very hard to get behind a defence to cross the ball when teams like Gresford defend so deep.

Re: Rhyl v Denbigh Town
Think Eddie appears to have wing back areas covered, Liam Smith and Partridge played there in pre-season, Nash was outstanding there against Penrhyngoch, Culshaw can play either side and they have brought in Cai Owen who people rate highly. Problem we appear to have is keeping clean sheets and cutting out the silly defensive mistakes which plagued us all of last season and continued into this.

Re: Rhyl v Denbigh Town
Yeah I agree, first few games they were rife. Then they stopped, we were solid against Port and Caernarfon tho. The 3 goals last week were terrible, it will be interesting to see what side and formation we go with tonight

Toughie this tonight, loads of little battles, incentives for both sets of players, no one will want to fail..

Toughie ? I realise that there is history, but we're at home against the club which is second from bottom in the league. 2-1 down and Tony D hit the bar for them. This is getting a bit ridiculous now.
Gmae itself in the Pointless Cup is of no consequence but losing to Llanrhaeadr, Gresford and Denbigh in 8 games ? Not inconsistent, just plain poor. Also yellow cards and now Pritch suspended with a red
