Re: Buckley

Thought that Joe Sullivan looked alright on the ball when he came on, I like partridge he just seems to be inconsistent during games, always finds himself in that role of being the midfielder who bursts into the box gets in good positions but doesn’t seem to be able to finish the chances. I can remember a handful on the weekend where it happened.

Personally Buckley seem in a false position absolutely woeful at the back centre half had a 50 pence head either headed it straight to us for a lovely knockdown or just went out all the time. Saw no clear transistion between their defence and attack. Their number 7 was fast but no end product reminded me a bit of Buckley Dunty should never of let that 2nd go in looked like it trickled in near post.

I said that at the time. Had Cai just knocked it past the keeper it would have been a nailed on red.
You see it quite often at all levels, when a player shoots and they get wiped out thereafter, you rarely see a red given if they get the shot away. Sometimes not even a pen if it happens close to the goal.

There was a new rule added last season, that solongs its a genuine attempt for the ball inside the box it’s no longer a red card. It’s just a yellow, if it’s outside the box and is last man it’s a red card.

I wasn’t there so can’t say whether it was a genuine attempt
