Re: re saturdays cup game
Ridiculous, and I bet all 5 were for gobbing off or petulant behaviour

Re: re saturdays cup game
Every little thing he does seem to be picked up by refs even when the opposition do the same if not worse, why is Worrall missing? Did he play for Llay in the previous round?

Re: re saturdays cup game
Good win, average performance.
Good to see we can still win games when not playing at our best, 19 goals in the last 5 games also which is fantastic.
Hassell and Joe Sullivan were brilliant.
Nice to see chambers come on and affect the game with 2 assists. Shame there’s a break next week, would have liked a game to keep momentum

Re: re saturdays cup game
Average game today not like the last two who thinks it will be hard for the lads that did not play today to come into the team in the next game

Re: re saturdays cup game
To be fair to Caersws they didn’t create much but they were well organised.
Good for Sullivan and Fez to get their first goals for the club, nice instant impact from chambers aswell.
Can see Dunty, Cai and Pritch coming straight back in for next game unless any injuries or absence. Be nice for Hassall to score soon hopefully can play higher up the pitch.

Re: re saturdays cup game
Dont understand why we set up so defensively (three at the back and two holding midfielders, wing-backs who didnt venture far forward and no central striker) for a home game against a mid-Wales Tier 3 club.
Just Murphy and KP buzzing round that first half, and always up against 5 or 6 defenders. Really showed and we just managed the 44th minute penalty to get noses in front for HT.
Once a central striker (Liam) was introduced around the hour mark, we scored twice in a few minutes and really dominated for 20 minutes. Then they scored and typically, we got all nervous and didnt get out of our half that final 5 minutes or so.
As usual Murphy a cut above everyone else on the field and buzzing all over the place. The other two pluses we didnt make the most of. Aaron Hassall has really moved on since early season, but doesnt get / isnt allowed to get forward often enough. Also Joe Sullivan a real handful and looks to have a load of goals in him. But why was he so far back in right-sided midfield ? Why not upfront that first half with Murphy and KP ? He was the obvious replacement for Pritch.
Law of averages says that you must commit enough players forward to get into a load of scoring positions, and if you dont get into those positions the chance of scoring goals goes down. We seemed to set up as if we were playing TNS or Nomads away, rather than Caersws at home.
There were though some very good individual performances there. We just need now two good draws (Holyhead at home next please) and we'r in the QF, 3 matches from Europe and worthwhile money.
