Forum interaction
is it a coincidence this forum has gone quiet since there’s not much to be negative about?
I hope not, there was so much interaction on here during our bad start to the season, and over the past 6/7 weeks interaction has died off

Re: Forum interaction
Distinct lack of the doom and gloom merchants.Where have they all gone? Cant be going to the matches or surely they would have posted some positive stuff by now.

Re: Forum interaction
Negativity is bad so maybe it's not a bad thing being a negative free forum.

Re: Forum interaction
If some people are happy for Rhyl FC to be in the 2nd tier of a hopeless Welsh system, a system that stifles ambition and blocks the hopes of fans that wanted the very best for their club, good luck to their short-sighted vision and aspirations.
But there are lot's fans who want better and remember better times when Rhyl FC was a successful and respected club, sadly due to the antics of the governing body, this once proud club with an enviable history in the English system, has been reduced to a level that is a lower standard our reserve teams used to play in.
And Rhyl is not alone in this debacle, Bangor City, Merthyr Tydfil, Caernarfon et al have all been bullied into almost oblivion.
Some are not content with the way things have gone and inevitably have reluctantly voted with their feet.

Re: Forum interaction
Stop harping on about the past! as it is long gone! and try to help change the future by supporting the team would be my advice.

Re: Forum interaction
I too remember 1972 - beating the "mighty" Rossendale Utd to the Cheshire League title and then a trip down to Swansea in the Cup. But that was almost 50 years ago - a different era.The 30 years after then (20 in the English pyramid and 10 in the Welsh) were terrible with just a couple of highlights in the Welsh Cup. Attendances were down to 150 in the English pyramid by early 90s, and getting back down to that level again at the end of the century in the Welsh pyramid. Then we had our most sustained period of success for a 7-year period. Sustained success is not even getting to the 1st round of the FA Cup each year (only because we were exempt until the final qualifying round), but finishing top-3 in the league for 6 seasons as well as performing in Europe.
Just supporting the message in the last post that that is a long-past era. Whatever pyramid we play in, there will not be 7000 crowds again at Rhyl as late 50s , nor 6000 crowds at Llanelli as in the 1930s. But those who do attend will be rewarded by being part of a club and community effort which cant be replicated 100 feet up by people eating crisps in the stands at Old Trafford.
Lets support the team, the club , the community - through good times and disappointing ones, and be honest about it always. See you early in the new year. Very happy and blessed Christmas to all

Re: Forum interaction
I will harp on as much as I like Rhyl39, I have stated my opinion as to why the club is in the poor state it's in, if you don't agree that's O.K. as I will assume you are content with the poor position the club finds itself and the low level of competition with no escape route that is allowed by the hierarchy.
I feel sorry for the fans that are force fed bread & dripping when they could be eating cake.
I am not harping on about the past, so much as pointing out the reasons why we cannot better ourselves. Is it not fairer to be able to get the club into a better standard of football, than to be forever locked into the 'Black Hole of Calcutta' that is run by the jailers of The Welsh F.A.

Re: Forum interaction
Yeah it is easier to come on here and slag off the club and the performances when you are on a losing run.
Shame these people disappear when you start winning
As for bfsp he will always be a whinge bag but you will get used to him...…….maybe.
