Re: Buckley
Intheknow, you might think you are but on the subject of Llyr Morris and fellow Ruthin players I can categorically assure you that they do not get paid but do however receive travel allowance to away matches's only assuming they use their vehicles. Ruthin Town have historically depended on local talent (have vibrant junior section), have never paid players and are blessed by the loyalty and pride these players take in turning out for the club.

Re: Buckley
Take your head from out of the sand.
They may only get “expenses” as I’m sure most players do in the league due to tax reasons. I’m sure Llyr gets more “pence per mile” than the other players

Definitely! Llyr Morris isn’t turning down clubs for the love of playing for Ruthin
Actually I think he probably is. Given that almost all Rhuthun players are local, I doubt if they have much in the way of travelling expenses. Llŷr is the son of the local Presbyterian minister.
Quite possibly Rhuthun are an exception, and loyalty will only get a team so far - maybe to mid-table Cymru Alliance !
There are other issues. For example, I'm sure that Cai is with us because the club believe in him and the management have really appreciated his vlue, not for financial reasons.
In the WPL where Lee-Hunt-style £400s a week can be on offer, yes finance is the main driver. But I dont think an extra 50 quid a week to go twice a week to training and matches in Tier 2 will necessarily be the major deciding factor for a player

i agree the lads work all day and then straight from work to travel to away games it might be a 7-45 ko but the lads have to be there at 6-30 a bit much for the lads who live further away from rhyl

Re: Buckley
That is the problem of being in a !@#$ league run by a !@#$ association, the sad part, it is in a great country and loyal supporters
that deserves much better, a long overdue change must soon be allowed to happen.

Yes we get the message, you (like plenty of others) want Rhyl in England. But comments like this offer nothing of any discussion and just further the opinion you're a moaning arse who doesn't really support the club.
