Being Controversial
In order to try and sort this defensive mess I am going to be controversial and propose this 4-4-2 line-up. In my wildest dreams I know it will never happen but no harm in hoping.

Take your pick of subs, personally I wouldn't name a back up keeper (not many clubs do) and my bench wouldn't include Riley or Creamer!!

Certainly is controversial ,Thats 12 players! I dont think that is allowed and if the keeper gets injured do we put a striker in goal?
So you would get rid of Keegan Creamer Riley
Subs Peate Sullivan Maxwell Hassall Rafa Hamilton.

Its 11 players Burrows OR Fairhurst. Correct they can go, not good enough by any standard. Open to discussion on the two keepers both showing poor form so bit of a 'toss of a coin' as to who plays No1 unfortunately!

Always an able outfielder well capable of stepping in, just like it always was. Not having a 2nd keeper on the bench allows more flexibility for substitutions. Remember Greg Strong rarely went with a 2nd keeper eith Connolly and Brewerton more than able deputies should the need arise.

So you dont have a second keeper at all?
What kind of keeper is going to turn up and train twice a week to not even make the bench let alone get a game? To be fair both of our Keepers have been equally under performing. Could be a couple of defenders and strikers at goalie training this week.

What about the Under 19s keeper, shouldn't that be the obvious progression? Having two keepers of 'apparent' quality is a luxury in my opinion. Know I'm not going to win this argument as said in original post 'being controversial' plus a bit of wishful thinking!

I don’t think not having a first choice keeper for 2 seasons has helped at all I don’t think we had a keeper who’s stayed in for longer than 5 games apart from that 13 game or whatever it was streak we went on last season, one mistake and the keeper gets changed sometimes you’ve got to stick with the keeper otherwise like we see know both keepers confidence has been shot and you can tell.

I saw someone’s post aswell about our strikers not scoring which I think is ridiculous think this is the first year in a while where they’re scoring Asa took his time of course settling in, and then he got 4 or 5 in two games, 2 of them albeit penalties but you still have to stick it in the net, he just needs the ball to feet and hold it up instead of having to chase lost causes all the times, Moly seems to always score when he plays, I wasn’t there on Saturday but from the twitter feed he seemed lively and got a goal to hopefully push him on for this Saturday.
