Don't wish the heartbreak for the fans of going bust - even on our worst enemies. Point is that they secured that finish by being able to pay hundreds of pounds a week for a few "just-in-case" players - like we did last season.

Hopefully, we will get an idea fairly early as to our prospects for next season. More importantly of course that the players know the situation. Remember that TNS cvame in fopr Craig J last year just a couple of days after his contract ended.

True we need a breathing space but, ideally, that breathing space is not a euphemism for uncertainty.

Interesting comment by Greg Strong on rhylfc.com that not having to play in Europe might be a good thing for the club.

The £150k Bangor could get from winning on Saturday and playing in the second round of the cup would put them in a stronger position than us for players next season so we've got a vested interest in them failing....

It was said the other night that if Bangor dont win they will have a 60k shortfall with the current staff so its vital they win.

As for Strongy, I tend to agree. Ok we dont the money from Europe but it will be the first time in years we get a proper pre season with no distractions for everyone to get fit and Strongy to find some players. Also we will get proper friendlies and not some second string 11 from the wirral as warm ups.

You have to admire the typical way in which Lee Hunt won the game for them. Chased a loss cause when the others had given up and then deliberately ran into a non-existent gap between two defenders with no hope of reaching the ball and won the FK from which they scored.

We've had everything our way this century re Bangor. Players have now gone the other way.

The referee had an awful game for both teams. Seems to be a Whitby in the making!

ioio, you are right about the last ten years, when all the best players head this way down the coast.
We stole Hunty from BCFC in 2004, which provided us with the impetus to go on and win the league.
I hope that the sickening feeling of our former heroes putting on the blue shirt is not somehing we have to look forward to.
